About Dr. Hoffman – Licensed Psychologist

Hi, I’m Dr. Hoffman (she/her)! I am a licensed psychologist in Virginia. As an adult, I discovered that I am autistic and many of the people closest to me are also autistic and/or ADHD. I am passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy and testing services. I also have multiple loved ones who are members of the LGBTQ+ community and I strive to provide LGBTQ+-affirming care as well.

I live in Chesapeake with my husband, child, and dog. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, work on jigsaw puzzles, or read.

I wanted to become a psychologist since I was 15 years old and was able to realize that dream in 2013, when I graduated with my Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from Florida Institute of Technology.

Before graduation, I completed an APA-accredited internship program at South Central Mental Health Counseling Center in El Dorado, Kansas through Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program. After graduation, I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at a private practice in Braselton, Georgia.

I have been a licensed psychologist since 2014 and, since that time, I have worked in private practices in Hoschton, Georgia as well as Hampton and Chesapeake, Virginia. I am a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
